Tenacious young midfielder back with Latics after loan spell with Bury during the 2017-18 season.

Laurent moved to Latics in January 2017, arriving for an undisclosed fee from Hartlepool United and signing a two and-a-half year deal.

His Latics career has consisted of four first team appearances as of the start of the 2018-19 campaign, with his debut coming in a 1-0 win at Birmingham City in the 2016-17 Sky Bet Championship campaign before he scored his first goal for the club in our 2-1 win over Blackpool in the Carabao Cup in the following campaign.

A further two cup appearances followed before Laurent made the switch to Bury in August 2017, where he scored once in 22 appearances for the Shakers in Sky Bet League One.

CAREER SO FAR
A former youth team player with Wycombe Wanderers, Laurent signed professional terms Queens Park Rangers, though, and, after a loan spell at Braintree Town, he soon moved across London to Brentford.

At Griffin Park, Laurent played one first team game - a 4-0 EFL Cup defeat to Oxford United - before moving out to League Two side Newport County, where he played three games before making a permanent move to Hartlepool in February 2016.

During his spell at the Victoria Ground, he played 33 games and scored one goal.
